Qualifications

Are qualifications available in alternative languages?
HABC does not currently offer qualifications in alternative languages. Centres expressing an interest in offering qualifications in languages other than English should write a written request to HABC. HABC will consider all requests on an individual basis.
How will I know if new qualifications become available?
All existing and new qualifications will be listed on the HABC website. New qualifications will receive marketing support to promote the qualification appropriately in the relevant sectors.
How do I know which course level is appropriate?
For every qualification offered a course guide will be provided, part of which will advise on whom the qualification is suitable for. HABC would advise candidates to seek advice from their educational establishment or employer.
What qualifications are on offer?

HABC is recognised by Ofqual, DCELLS and CCEA to award accredited Levels 2 and 3 Food Safety in Catering, Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing and Levels 2 and 3 Health and Safety in the Workplace qualifications.

HABC also offers a range of Level 1 qualifications. These are as follows:

Why are HABC's Level 1 qualifications only 'endorsed' and not 'accredited'?

Level 1 qualifications are not accredited by the Regulators as the the guided learning hours do not meet the minimum requirements. As a result HABC endorses Level 1 qualifications.
