HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (QCF)
The HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (QCF) is an Ofqual accredited qualification that is valid for two years and has been developed to meet the requirements of the HSE. This qualification is of equal standing to other Pool Lifeguard qualifications on the market and is kept up to date with regular on-going training. It provides the necessary skills and knowledge for learners who wish to be employed as a pool lifeguard.

HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (QCF) Requalification
When a Level 2 Pool Lifeguarding Award is due to expire, lifeguards are required to undergo a requalification for a further two years. Please note: a record of regular on-site training with a minimum of 20 hours contact time is required before this qualification can be achieved. This requalification can be taken by learners whose qualification is due to expire, irrelevant of which Awarding Organisation they gain this through.

Supported by Skills Active, the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure, the HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (QCF) is currently eligible for funding. The LARA (Learner Aims Reference Application) holds funding information for accredited qualifications. The qualification title is the HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (QCF) and the learning aim reference number is 60032741.
